Coron, Palawan: Day 2- Coron Island Hopping

8:49 AM

Our second day started early. We woke up before 7AM to prepare for breakfast. Afterwards, prepare ourselves for the island hopping. Yay! Excited! Our itinerary for the day is to visit Siete Pecados, Hidden Lagoon, Kayangan Lake, Twin Peak, Coral Garden and CYC Beach. All includes snorkeling so we rented snorkeling gear from our boatman for 150PHP each for the whole island hopping.
ready for island hopping
The island hopping started a little late because the boat's engine won't start. We waited while they're fixing it but ended up transferring to another boat.
The boat we're supposed to be using.
I'll let the pictures do the talking. Let's start the island hopping!

Siete Pecados
Arguably the most popular spot in Coron, and made even more popular when a television show made Siete Pecados their setting. Legend has it that seven sisters swam to the main island to follow their parents and subsequently drowned. The spot where they drowned is where the islands are now present. Siete Pecados is a great snorkeling spot, and certainly one of the best in Coron.

Hidden Lagoon

Hidden Lagoon
Kayangan Lake

Judged as the cleanest lake in the country, and for that alone it is worth visiting. But its wonders don’t stop there. Near the lake, there is a cave that offers visitors a great view. This spot is touted to be the most photographed area in Palawan.

Kayangan Lake is dubbed as the cleanest lake in Asia and  is considered a sacred place by the Tagbanua tribe of Coron Island, Philippines. There is so much to do in Kayangan Lake, trekking, swimming, snorkeling and picture taking. Here you will find the most picturesque part of Coron, the Kayangan Lagoon.
Entrance
Trekking
Half-way the trek, we reached the most picturesque part, the Kayangan Lagoon. There's also a cave but no one has entered and knows its other end.

with our new found friends! :)
After having enough rest, we continued with the trek down and we finally had a glimspse of Asia's cleanest Lake, Kayangan Lake.

The trek maybe tiring but everything was worth-it.

My Underwater Selfie :)
Twin Peak
We had snorkeling activity here but the water is not clear that time, maybe because it rained before the day of our trip so we didn't see much corals and fish. We just went back to the boat and proceed to the next destination.

Coral Garden

We had the most tiring snorkeling in Coral Garden. Its just near CYC beach so what our boatmen did is we snorkel until we reached CYC beach that's why I was so dead tired. And the water is too shallow, but we can't walk because there's a lot of sea urchin and sharp corals. But the underwater here is beautiful.

CYC Beach

CYC Beach is a public beach with white sand and shallow water. From Coral Garden we swam our way to CYC Beach and man was so tiring, but a nice experience though. This was our last stop for the island hopping so we just had the picture taking, others just laid on the beach and chit-chat with their newly found friends while we wait for them in our banca.

We're all awed by Coron,Palawan's beauty. Dead tired but worth it. I'm so in-love with Palawan. After the activity, we freshen up, rest and had our dinner in Bistro Coron.
