So eventhough I'm still on training and needed to review every single day for exam, I'm able to squeeze in having a staycation with the boyfie. Still okay though since this 4-star hotel is located just in Makati Ave., Makati City.

Last October2016, the boyfie and I together with his family had a staycation in City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati. Just know that there are two City Garden in this area, the other one is City Garden Hotel. We were able to check-in at around 6:00PM since we both came from work.

We had the Superior Double Room with two double beds (of course!), 500- thread count duvet, a cable TV, it has in-room safe, hot & cold shower with bathtub, refrigerator, etc. We had the room on the 25th floor. 

Bathroom

The Bathroom is spacious with hot & cold shower, bathtub and toiletries.

On the top floor, located is the pool which is very inviting especially at night overlooking the city. I wasn't able to swim though since I just stayed in the room reviewing for the next day's exam.

City Garden Grand Hotel has 2 restaurants, the Spice Cafe and Firely Roofdeck Bar where we had our dinner.  The Spice Cafe is located at the 7th floor where buffet breakfast was served. Didn't get to try the breakfast since I had to go to work early.

We had our late dinner at Firefly roof deck bar since Spice Cafe is already closed. And we had a great view of the city. One thing I didn't like here is that our orders took forever to be served, even though we followed-up number of times. *insert rolling eyes emoji

Though I was not able to fully enjoy  the pool and the buffet breakfast and the other amenities, no doubt, I had a relaxing stay in City Garden Grand Hotel.
