6th Anniversary: Canyon Cove Residential Resort x Breakfast at Antonio's

1:06 AM

I first went to this resort December 2012 when my friend and I didn't push through our Boracay trip. This time, I'm back with the boyfie because again, I wasted plane ticket and didn't push through our Bohol trip because #newhireproblems. Canyon Cove seems to be saving me from failed long trips because of its equally relaxing and beautiful ambiance.

There's a cheap deal in Metrodeal for this resort but this is a last minute booking and we might not be able to confirm our booking if we purchased from that site. So, we booked an overnight stay from the boyfie's friend who happens to be a member of this resort. They also did the reservation and just gave us the gift certificate to be presented at the reception.

My previous post about this resort happened to be my guide this time going there. We went to DLTB terminal in Gil Puyat and alight at Nasugbu Town. From there, we took a tricycle going to the resort.

The Room

Again, we had the superior room with one large bed and a day bed. The room still has refrigerator, television and a closet with vault. The last time, we stayed at the south wing with a view of the beach, this time, we had a room on the north wing with a view of the pool.

still has an amazing view

6th Anniversary Celebration

The reason we're here is because we are celebrating our 6th anniversary. We're supposed to go to Bohol for a 4 day trip, but I'm about to start in my new job so we decided to make this our plan B.

I bought a letter balloon and a cake as a little surprise for him. I made him go down the pool and told him I'll take a good shot of him from our room and I'll go down afterwards. But I didn't. And that's when the action happened. He just got bored swimming alone and decided to get back to our room. And this is what surprised him. Tadaaah!

I knooow, I'm really the romantic/clingy one in this relationship. Haha! After this, we both went down for a swim and dinner.

We had our dinner in Island Cafe. The last time I tried their restaurant, I wasn't satisfied with what we ordered so I made sure not to order that again and just chose a safer dish.

The next day, we explored the resort and had the pictorial. :)

After checking out, we decided to have our lunch at Breakfast at Antonio's in Tagaytay. About 1 hour bus ride from Nasugbu.

We ordered baby back ribs, pancake, carbonara and mango shake. I really love the carbonara because it's soooo creamy. I find the pancake a little expensive from what was served and the baby back ribs was just...okay. But still, I would love to go back here and try the other dishes.

And that's it. Even though we weren't able to go to Bohol, a good resort and a good restaurant near the metro made up for it. Bohol is already reserved for the next special occasion.
