We kind of spoiling ourselves a bit by going on trips nearby just to spend the night relaxing and pampering ourselves with food and nice hotel . I also noticed we are more likely to go on trips as a family now unlike before. Maybe it's because of our little one. My side of the family always wants to spend time with him by going on trips. Although the adults are one benefiting the most from this trip instead of Zach :)

We booked a night in Escala in Tagaytay. Online booking is fully booked but I badly wanted to stay in Escala so I tried to email their reservations team to ask for available room. And fortunately, there is.  We booked a Deluxe Room which is good for 2 adults only and paid for additional 2 adults at PHP1,500 each. Our room costs PHP 10, 225 for 4 adults including buffet breakfast. They didn't ask for a deposit since we booked a day prior. Yes, we're spontaneous like that. Haha!

But, first things first, FOOD! We are in Tagaytay so why not have their famous Bulalo. We had our lunch in Balay Dako before going to Escala.

Then we headed straight to Escala for our 2:00PM check in. Check out is as usual, 12 noon. We settled our bill first before proceeding to our room. Here's the Deluxe Room.

All the rooms has a veranda with a view of the pool and Taal Lake.

We swim for a bit, even though it's sunny, the water is so cold plus the cold Tagaytay breeze.

After check out, we had our lunch at Charito's before heading home.

I realized I wanted to always write our trips, it's also like my diary, but online so I could always go back and see photos and so I could always remember where we went, what we did, where we ate and also a motivation to spend more time with family and do something we will always remember.

Overall, we really had a nice stay. I love the hotel itself, the food, the nice view. It is so modern which I like and would really wanna go back. But first, save, save, save! <3
